An approved permit is effective for a period of one (1) year from date of issue and may be renewed upon written request. All fees shall be in accordance with those fees established by the Uniform Building Code or other applicable City adopted Resolutions or Ordinances.Note: All public improvements, when constructed, shall be maintained (by the respective individual(s) and/or company responsible for the construction of that public and/or private improvement in the respective development) on a daily basis, or as needed, such that they are free of mud, construction debris tracking, or other fugitive particles leaving the site. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in the enforcement of Article II, Illicit Discharges, Section 20-11 and/or Article III, Specified Nuisances, Section 15-16 (4), of the City of Wheat Ridge Municipal Code of Laws.
GRADING, FILL, AND EXCAVATION PERMITS
1. Application & Supporting InformationThe Engineering Manager may issue a permit upon review and approval of the following information which shall be submitted with the completed application form:A. Certified survey of the site showing existing easements and Right-of-Way with a corresponding metes and bounds legal description for the boundary on the Current City Datum.B. Name and address of property owner(s) and lessee(s), both within the site and adjacent to the site's perimeter.C. A Grading and Erosion Control Plan showing the location and extent of areas to be filled and/or excavated, existing & proposed contour lines using elevations consistent with the Current City Datum drawn at a scale acceptable to the Engineering Manager, and any erosion control items required per the Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP).D. A SWMP defining both construction and post-construction best management practices (BMP’s).E. A Final Drainage Report and Plan in conformance with the City’s Site Drainage Requirements.F. Location of existing and proposed points of ingress/egress. G. Location of residences, structures, and utilities lying inside the site in question and within a fifty (50) foot perimeter adjacent to the site.H. The name, location, and surfacing of all roadways both within and adjacent to the site to be used for haulage.I. The schedule of operations, including the completion date.J. Location of existing waterways and drainage courses indicating any changes (for a site containing an established irrigation ditch, a letter of approval from the appropriate ditch company shall be required).K. At least two cross sections (east to west and north to south) through the site showing depth of fill and/or excavation.L. Copies of any permits issued by the state of Colorado required for the operation.M. Copies of all materials required to be submitted to the state of Colorado or the U.S. Government, where such agencies are involved in permit reviews and/or app
All permits shall be applied for prior to commencement of fill deposition or excavation operations. Any permit applied for after deposition or excavation operations on site are in progress shall be subject to a double fee and other penalties as prescribed by Wheat Ridge Code of Laws, Sec. 1-5 and Sec. 26-1004.

ANY VIOLATION OF THE ABOVE TERMS WILL CAUSE IMMEDIATE REVOCATION OF THIS PERMIT AND COMMENCEMENT OF ENFORCEMENT PROCEEDINGS BY THE CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE.
