In a cooperative effort with licensed Wheat Ridge businesses and to acknowledge the economic burden the COVID-19 emergency has put on Wheat Ridge businesses, the City of Wheat Ridge is offering temporary relief to waive the Liquor Occupational Taxes (L.O.T.) through an approved application and vetting process. Deadline to apply is April 30, 2021, 5 p.m.
To be eligible for a waiver of 2021 Liquor Occupation Taxes (LOT), businesses must:
If approved, the waiver is for the LOT. An approved Waiver does not relieve the taxpayer from filing sales tax returns on time. An approved waiver is for the time period of 2021 only. If LOT has been submitted in 2021, and if the applicant is seeking a refund, this application must include a completed ACH and W9 form. Refunds will ONLY be granted by ACH.
