What is the Special Investigations Unit (SIU)?
The Special Investigations Unit of the Wheat Ridge Police Department is primarily responsible for the investigation of narcotics violations, gambling, prostitution, and organized crime. The unit is a member of the West Metro Drug Task Force and has intelligence networks with all law enforcement agencies in Jefferson County and throughout the state.
