44th Avenue drivers should experience improved traffic conditions near Wadsworth Boulevard this week. A second through lane is open on westbound 44th Avenue. A new dedicated right turn lane on westbound 44th Avenue to northbound Wadsworth is also open. A second eastbound through lane is expected to open later this week.
Underground utility work is planned overnight Tuesday through Thursday near both 3 Acre Lane and 39th Avenue. Expect flaggers directing traffic through a narrow work area nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Concrete paving continues on southbound Wadsworth south of 44th Avenue. Construction may impact how access is configured so drivers are asked to note signage, traffic control devices, and crew instructions when flaggers are present.
Slope work continues along southbound Wadsworth between I-70 and 48th Avenue where a new sidewalk connection to Johnson Park is under construction.
