Many would agree that 2021 can’t get here fast enough. While for some, the New Year is a time to focus on making resolutions to increase physical health, quit smoking, lose weight, or exercise more, Wheat Ridge suggests another alternative.
This year join friends and family and “Park It Wheat Ridge!” Did you know Wheat Ridge is home to more than 20 beautiful parks? The Mayor is challenging everyone to get out and visit each and every one of them in 2021. Every park is unique and there is the added benefit of being outside in the fresh air enjoying nature while remaining close to home. There is also a prize drawing park visitors can enter online now until Jan. 31, 2021. The more entries, the more chances to win. Each visit to a park can be entered for the prize drawing. Complete prize entries at Rootedinfun.com and remember to include a fun picture enjoying a park.
Check out the January edition of the Neighborhood Gazette for a complete map of all 20 parks or go online (Note: on the website the skate park is also listed as Discovery Park, the dog park is Fruitdale Park, and Town Center Park is closed.)
