Jeffco Moves to Red Level on CDPHE Dial

CDPHE COVID Dial Graphic

Jefferson County Public Health (JCPH) is aggressively managing this outbreak in collaboration with other national, state and local partners. "Our number one priority is protecting the health of our community."

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) released a Dial Framework and Public Health Order (PHO 20-36) that standardizes different levels of “openness” at the county level. Jefferson County moved to Level Orange (Level 3) on Nov. 9 at 5 p.m. and will move to a modified Level Red as described below and in Public Health Order 20-009 (First Amended). More info

New COVID testing sites are also now available in Jefferson County at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Golden and for communities in the Foothills. More info

Some key changes for Jefferson County under the state’s revised Level Red requirements include:

  • Personal gatherings with people outside of your household are prohibited.
  • Indoor dining at restaurants is prohibited; use takeout, curbside or delivery options instead. Outdoor dining is permitted with those in the household.
  • Last call is 8 p.m. when all on-premise alcoholic beverage consumption must cease
  • Gyms are limited to 10% capacity, or 10 people indoors per room, or outdoors in groups less than 10. Reservations are required.
  • Indoor events are closed.
  • Outdoor events are permitted at 25% capacity, not to exceed 75 people, attendance is limited to members of the household, and a six-foot distance from non-household members must be maintained at all times.
  • Both critical and non-critical retail are limited to 50% capacity and should increase their curbside pick-up and delivery services.
  • People at higher risk for getting COVID-19 or experiencing severe illness must stay at home.
  • At this time, JCPH’s PHO 20-009 remains in effect. The order is being reviewed for any changes needed based on this new information.
