Council Study Sessions are held on the first and third Mondays of the month. Both begin promptly at 6:30 PM.

The Planning Commission meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of the month in Council Chambers at 7500 W. 29th Ave.; however, on average the Commission meets about 14 times per year. Planning Commission meetings are open to the public. Comments can be submitted online directly to Planning Commissioners through Wheat Ridge Speaks. Meeting agendas are posted about 10 days in advance, and online comments close two days before the hearing. No sign up is required in order to comment. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wheat Ridge City Council will conduct Public Hearings on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. to consider Council Bills:
25-2023: An Ordinance amending Sections 2-53 and 2-55 of the Wheat Ridge Code of Laws concerning membership of Boards and Commissions.
26-2023: An Ordinance amending Sections 11-504, 11-506 and 2-80 of the Wheat Ridge Code of Laws concerning short term rental licensing enforcement.
The proposed ordinances are available in electronic form on the City’s official website, www.ci.wheatridge.co.us/legal-notices. Upon appointment, request and notification, copies are also available in printed form.
The October 9, 2023 Council meeting will be conducted both as a virtual meeting and in Council Chambers. The public may also participate in these ways:

Individuals who, due to technology limitations, are unable to participate in the meeting virtually (via the Zoom platform) or by calling in on the telephone may contact Rhiannon Curry, Executive Assistant, at 303-235-2819 by noon on October 9, 2023. Arrangements will be made for those individuals to access City Hall during the meeting to view the meeting and provide public comment if desired. These comments will be heard and seen in real time by members of Council and City staff.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to C.R.S. Sec. 44-3-311, Illegal Pete’s LLC dba Illegal Pete’s, located at 10009 W 26th Avenue Suite 10009, Wheat Ridge, CO, 80215 requested the Liquor Licensing Authority of the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, to grant a new Hotel and Restaurant liquor license for the sale of alcohol beverages in open containers for on premises consumption.
Illegal Pete’s LLC consists of Members Peter Turner II, 871 S. Gilpin St; Matthew Meyer, 4755 E Fort Lowell Rd of IPOG Inc. The application date is June 9, 2023.
You are further notified that on Thursday the 26th day of October, at the hour of 9 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, a Public Hearing on the application will be held before the Wheat Ridge Liquor Licensing Authority Board in the Council Chambers located at 7500 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

Resolution 01-2023: Effective January 9, 2023
Public notice of public meetings of the City Council, Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment, and all other Board, Commission, Committee, and advisory board meetings for which public notice is required, shall be posted at the main entrance to the Municipal Building, 7500 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, which location shall be deemed the official posting location for the City.
Except as otherwise permitted by Sections 5.2 and 5.12 of the Charter, notices and other information required to be published in a newspaper of general circulation within the City, shall be made in the Jeffco Transcript; except that, where circumstances make publication ineffective or otherwise undesirable, the City may publish official notice on the City’s website.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Ordinances 1748 – 1763 (where applicable) were codified into Supplement 70 for insertion into the Code of Laws of the City of Wheat Ridge. Except where stated in the ordinances, Supplement 70 is effective August 1, 2023.

CORA requires that the City provide the documents cited in your CORA request within three business days or in the case of extenuating circumstances, 10 business days.
