The Planning Commission meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of the month in Council Chambers at 7500 W. 29th Ave.; however, on average the Commission meets about 14 times per year. Planning Commission meetings are open to the public. Comments can be submitted online directly to Planning Commissioners through Wheat Ridge Speaks. Meeting agendas are posted about 10 days in advance, and online comments close two days before the hearing. No sign up is required in order to comment. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wheat Ridge City Council will conduct Public Hearings on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. to consider Council Bills:
19-2022 - An ordinance amending Article IV of Chapter 26 of the Wheat Ridge Code of Laws, concerning requirements for final subdivision plats, and in connection therewith, addressing race and religion-based covenants on title.
21-2022 - An ordinance approving the rezoning of property located at 7525 W. 44th Avenue from Commercial-One (C-1) to Mixed Use-Commercial (MU-C)
22-2022 - An Ordinance amending the Wheat Ridge Code of Laws to permit composting under prescribed conditions.

The December 12, 2022 Council meeting will be conducted both as a virtual meeting and in Council Chambers. The public may also participate in these ways:

Individuals who, due to technology limitations, are unable to participate in the meeting virtually (via the Zoom platform) or by calling in on the telephone may contact Stephanie Pomponio, Assistant to the Mayor and Council , at 303-235-2977 by noon on December 12, 2022. Arrangements will be made for those individuals to access City Hall during the meeting to view the meeting and provide public comment if desired. These comments will be heard and seen in real time by members of Council and City staff. Individuals attending in person will be asked to adhere to any COVID-19 guidelines that may be effective on the date of the meeting.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to the State of Colorado Liquor and Beer Code Regulations, Section 44-3-311 New Image Brewing Company LLC, dba New Image Brewing Company, 9505 W. 44th Avenue Ste. 100, Wheat Ridge, CO, 80033 requested the Liquor Licensing Authority of the City of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, to grant a new Vintners Restaurant Liquor License.
New Image Brewing Company LLC consists of owners Brandon Capps of 4865 Harlan St., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033, and William Capps of 5065 Ascot Dr., Cummings, GA 30028. The application submission date is June 27, 2022.
You are further notified that on: Thursday, the 26th day of January, 2023, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, a Public Hearing on the application will be held before the Wheat Ridge Liquor Licensing Authority in the Council Chambers located at 7500 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
At said time and place, any interested person may appear to be heard for or against the issuance of the license.

Public notice of public meetings of the City Council, Planning Commission, Board of Adjustment, and all other Board, Commission, Committee, and advisory board meetings for which public notice is required, shall be posted at the main entrance to the Municipal Building, 7500 West 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado, which location shall be deemed the official posting location for the City.
Except as otherwise permitted by Sections 5.2 and 5.12 of the Charter, notices and other information required to be published in a newspaper of general circulation within the City, shall be made in the Jeffco Transcript; except that, where circumstances make publication ineffective or otherwise undesirable, the City may publish official notice on the City’s website.

CORA/Public Information Requests
CORA requires that the City provide the documents cited in your CORA request within three business days or in the case of extenuating circumstances, 10 business days. Before submitting a CORA request please check to see if the documents you seek are already available on the city website on the Community Development/Planning Division page or Laserfiche Weblink® - City Records Digital Archive Documents include roofing permits, residential building plans, inspections, certificates of occupancy, etc.

The first 10 pages of information are free. Additional pages are $.25 per page. Information requests requiring staff research efforts will be assessed at $33/hour in 1/4 hour increments. The first hour of research is free of charge.
