COVID-19 impacts

In an effort to support social distancing and slow the spread of COVID-19, any business with the Court should be conducted remotely. For those currently scheduled to appear in Wheat Ridge Municipal Court, cases are being handled via video conferencing, a plea by mail, or by utilizing the online payment option. 

Municipal Court staff are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. by calling 303-235-2835, faxing 303-235-2829 or by email court@ci.wheatridge.co.us

Responsibilities


Wheat Ridge Municipal Court is a limited jurisdiction court and acts as a check and balance on the legislative and executive branches of government. The Court has jurisdiction over: The penalty for most criminal matters carry up to a $2,650.00 fine and up to 364 days in jail.

Court is in session Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please check the calendar for closures on legal holidays.
