Responsibilities
Long Range Planning is responsible for:
Participates in the creation of the City's
guiding documents
Overseeing updates and implementation of the City's
Comprehensive Plan
Preparing or overseeing preparation of
subarea plans
Researching and preparing reports, policies, and ordinances related to implementation of the Comprehensive Plan,
Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy
and subarea plans
Representing the City in metro-wide planning organizations such as
Denver Regional Council of Governments
(DRCOG)
Participating in
special projects
such as transportation planning, brownfields, and Community Development Block Grants
Serving as staff liaison to
Planning Commission
and
Wheat Ridge Housing Authority
Comprehensive Plan
Subarea Plans
Lutheran Campus
Northwest Subarea
Station Area Planning
RTD G Line
