Street Light Request

General Information

As part of the budget approval process, the City Council authorized $10,000 for street light requests in residential areas. As a result of the recent action, staff has put together a policy and procedure for addressing requests.

 Street Light Request Procedure

Based on available information, a typical street light installation cost ranges anywhere from $2500 - $10,000. The variation in cost can significantly depend upon the specific location and availability of existing XCEL facilities such as poles, feed points, etc. Because of the limited available budget, it is expected that requests will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
