Claims Risk Management coordinates and administers various claims generated from city operations including:
Risk Management also provides assistance with accident investigations, in-service safety training programs, administering safety programs and policies, and development and revision of safety programs as needed.
Responsibilities Risk Management is also responsible for the following:
Coordinating citywide insurance coverage
Recommending and coordinating policy on risk management matters
Processing property and casualty claims
Managing risk exposures, loss prevention and risk control, and risk retention while protecting the financial assets of the city
Reporting an Incident
If you believe you have a claim against the city of Wheat Ridge Colorado Law requires written notice within one hundred eighty-two (182) days after the date the person discovers the injury or damage. Please use the City of Wheat Ridge Incident Report form to report any claims.
