For more than 25 years Jerry DiTullio has been a resident of Wheat Ridge with wife Julie and their two children. He was born in North Denver near old Elitches and grew up in the house that his father and mother built in the early 1950s. Jerry attended Edison Elementary, St. Mary Magdalene Middle School and Holy Family High School.
Jerry has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science & Management and an MBA from Regis University. Over the years, he has changed careers by his own choice. Jerry believes, “It is always in one’s best interest to keep re-inventing yourself. It helps keep your mind clear and open.” He has owned a software consulting company and a coffee shop in Wheat Ridge. Additionally, Jerry has worked as a commercial banker and is now teaching special education classes in Jefferson County Public Schools at Wheat Ridge High School. He is currently taking classes at Regis University to become highly qualified in Special Education, K-12.
For the last fifteen years, Jerry has been involved with city government in Wheat Ridge and the metro area. He was first elected to City Council in 1995 after running and losing twice to incumbents in 1991 and 1993.
Jerry has worked with citizens and other elected officials in the metro area on various projects and issues. In 2005, Jerry was elected Mayor of Wheat Ridge.
