Overview The Wheat Ridge Police Department Communications Center is usually the first point of contact for citizens needing police, fire, or medical services through 9-1-1 or non-emergency telephone lines.
The Communications Center also processes calls for Code Enforcement and Animal Control within the City of Wheat Ridge.
9-1-1 Please adhere to the following guidelines when placing a 9-1-1 call:
- Only call 9-1-1 for emergencies involving an immediate threat to persons or property
- Please do not hang up until the 9-1-1 dispatcher answers your call as your telephone information will still enter the 9-1-1 system, even if you mistakenly call 9-1-1
- Please be ready to give the dispatcher your location, telephone number, and information concerning your emergency so they can determine the best way to assist you
- Please answer all questions asked and follow all instructions given by the dispatcher. Dispatchers are trained to assist you in any emergency.
