Overview
The Cultural Commission was created to promote culture and the arts in the City and foster cultural enrichment and education opportunities for the citizens of Wheat Ridge.

 

The Wheat Ridge Cultural Commission also:

• Advises the Mayor, City Manager and City Council on matters relating to the promotion of culture and the arts
• Promotes artistic endeavors within the city  
• Provides a resource and forum for communication within and for the artistic community
• Develops and recommends cultural programs to the city council
• Makes recommendations on issues concerning culture and the arts to the city council
• Promotes and develops positive relationships with persons and entities interested in promoting culture and the arts in the City of Wheat Ridge
• Seeks citizen input and advice on the management of public art
• Assists the City with grant proposals and fund raising activities, as directed by the City Manager
