Joyce Jay is a 25 year Wheat Ridge resident and her daughter, Ginger, graduated from Wheat Ridge High School. Joyce was a successful small business owner for 30 years operating a commercial photography business in Denver. Prior to that she was an administrative Federal employee. Her volunteer work has included being Chair of the Wheat Ridge Cultural Commission and being a guiding member of the Citizen's Advisory Committee re-writing the city's Comprehensive Plan. She is still an active volunteer Diversion Officer for the Jefferson County justice system working with domestic violence offenders. She is also currently serving with the Wheat Ridge Business District and the city's Budget Oversight Committee. Her B.A. is in communications from Loretto Heights College. Hobbies include biking, art and learning the skills needed to be an asset to her constituents in District Two.
