When will my street be plowed?
The City treats pre-determined first and second priority roadways with deicing materials prior to snow storms to prevent formation of snowpack and ice. First priority roadways (red routes) include main streets, collectors, routes to schools, firehouses, and hospital accesses. Second priority roadways ( green routes) include minor collector streets and third priority (green routes) include hilly residential streets. The City will plow residential streets only after there is an accumulation of at least 12 inches of snow.
The snow and ice control program and snow removal priority routes map is located on the City web site.
